In Search Of Hot Chocolate Havens? Follow Our Scottish Coastal Trail...

Do you have a favourite stretch of coastline? One of ours is the rugged, jaw-dropping ramble from Edinburgh to the fringes of Aberdeenshire and Moray. Taking in the iconic Forth Bridge sweeping above scattered islands; lush green fields tapering at the edge of endless beaches; cliffs and castles plunging into the north sea, it’s a truly unmissable journey for coast lovers. AND, whether you’re driving, travelling by train and bus, or walking along some of the stunning coastal paths, a revitalising shot of our luxurious hot chocolate - handmade in Pittenweem - is never far off the beaten track…

Coffee At The Kings - Cullen
Half way between Aberdeen and Inverness, search for the vintage airstream caravan at Cullen Beach and discover barista coffee, tray bakes and our luxurious hot chocolate! The traditional fishing village is home of Cullen Skink too, so find a cosy pub and try some if you can! And, while you’re in the north east, don’t miss a visit to Bow Fiddle Rock, Cruden Bay and Slains Castle - inspirational home of Dracula, Royal Deeside, Dunottar Castle and Aberdeen. It’s worth noting that the ‘silver city by the sea’ is the only place in Britain that made New York Times global list of 52 must-see places in 2019!

The Little Green Van - Portobello
A little east of Edinburgh, discover a delightful coastal suburb with its distinct history and enchantments. The Little Green Van, parked on Portobello Prom, is a coffee shop on wheels offering a striking contrast to the golden sands. In short, it’s a perfect pit-stop and well worth the short journey from our capital’s better known attractions! Pittenweem Chocolate Company
And of course, somewhere in the middle, you’ll find our own village Cocoa Tree Cafe and chocolate shop nestled amidst the not-so-hidden treasures of our East Neuk. Discover our favourite people, places, produce and passions in the area at pittenweemchocolate.co.uk/pittenweem
