Acoustic Wave. For me, these two words - especially when put together - have always felt creative and inspiring. Back when I was living in the city, I often had lunch-at-my-desk daydreams about running a music cafe by the sea; it would be called Acoustic Wave Cafe. Acoustic symbolised my favourite sound: pure, stripped back to its most natural form. Wave symbolised the sea and the inspiration I felt when close to the surf. And, when put together, the words represent a form of communication. However, this is only skimming the surface...
The literal definition of Acoustic Wave is 'a wave which which transmits sound' but the origins and essence of the word go much deeper. Also known as sound waves, they are a powerful creative energy.
The Big Bang
All of creation - according to many spiritual and scientific communities - is vibrating with the same primordial energy that gave birth to our universe. This energy emits waves of sound which, depending on their frequency, are sometimes audible to the human ear. Various theories suggest that acoustic waves shaped our entire universe; they were the first form to ripple out from 'the big bang'. The energy of acoustic waves later created light and then matter; stars, galaxies, planets, cells, atoms, you and me.
The first acoustic wave, according to hinduism and buddhism, was the sacred sound 'Om'. In the practice of meditation, the repetition of 'Om' is considered to be particularly positive and powerful, because you are tapping into the primordial, divine force or 'natural flow' of the universe.
Everything - beginning with our thoughts, feelings, words and actions - vibrates with acoustic waves.
So, the natural flow of acoustic waves - a power at that heart of our own existence - can also influence everything we, in turn, create and communicate in the world: music and song, dance, words (spoken and written), cooking, designing, making, art, activism, the list goes on...
"For the whole symphony of the universe to vibrate at its most refined and poetic, it requires all individual instruments (that's us!) to play their part. Thus, one thing is essential for the greater good — each person must follow their authentic path." - Mind Body Green

A Natural Flow Of Creativity & Communication
Acoustic Wave - Boutique Media, Marketing & Entertainment Studio encourages everyone to bring their natural flow of creativity and communication to the surface. In doing so, we instinctively tap into our true purpose - celebrating simple pleasures and positive ideals - so that we can live in harmony with the universe that created us.
In other words, we learn to 'go with the flow'.
Well, as a smart person - Jon Kabat-Zinn - once said, "you can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf".
You Can't Stop The Waves, But You Can Learn To Surf
In essence, this means there's an alternative to drifting along everyday, being pushed around by the ever changing currents. You can choose to consciously navigate through life - in harmony with the flow of creative energy all around and within you - and catch your best waves.
Follow Your Inner Compass
You'll know you're learning to 'surf' when you're thinking, speaking and living in alignment with your true self. It begins by feeling your way into the flow. Trust and follow the guidance of your inner compass....
What lights you up? When do you feel most at ease with other people? Which thoughts and ideas excite you? How do you love to spend your time? How would you love to earn a living? Which local or global issues touch your heart? Can you imagine making a positive contribution in the world, while doing what you love? When you begin to live in alignment with your innate pleasures, desires, talents, passions and ideals, you'll start to feel more in tune with the real you; fired up by a vibrant inner energy, in the zone, connected to naturally good vibes.
This is what it really means to be going with the flow.
Going With The Flow
Of course, this sometimes means taking a chance, embracing challenges and heading into the unknown. Yet, as all the best 'surfers' know, this way of life isn't about going it alone. We can gain support - and momentum - by connecting and collaborating with like-minded people. Most importantly, living our own divinely inspired, creative purpose in everyday life will benefit ourselves and others - because we're all part of the same whole.
So, in an ocean of challenges - and opportunities - I love helping people to surf.

Acoustic Wave was also born out of a desire to celebrate simple pleasures and positive ideals in everyday life. It's an ethos I believe can have a ripple effect...
Celebrate Simple Pleasures And Positive Ideals
For me, simple pleasures include beautiful music & art, delicious food, inspiring words, good company and natural beauty. I'm also guided by the positive ideals of thinking globally, acting locally, living honestly, showing gratitude and being the change.
With this in mind, my clients include national charities and leading brands, artists, artisan producers, musicians, seaside cafes, a gift shop & art gallery, vintage event specialists, boutique markets, purveyors of highland hospitality and skilled craftsmen.
I especially love working with people whose ideals, purpose, services and products go beyond making a profit - towards creating a positive impact in our communities and on our planet.
So, what's your natural flow of creativity and communication?
Do your thoughts, feelings, words and actions align with your true nature?

PS. I was finally able to fulfil that early dream of having a music cafe by the sea. It happened in the form of a series of pop-up events. Of course, they were named Acoustic Wave Cafe.
Yoga Journal: Mindful Speaking
"Since everything in existence, including rocks and planets, is made out of different densities of vibration—that is, out of coagulated sound—words are not merely signifiers, but actual powers. All speech, especially speech imbued with strong feeling or emotion, creates waves of energy that radiate through our bodies and into the world, vibrating with complementary word streams and helping to create the atmosphere we live in."

"just as DNA determines human development, sound waves determine the growth of stars and galaxies in the developing universe."
Huffington Post: Om is the vibration of the universe.
"Om is more than a sound, but the vibration of the universe. It is the frequency of energy that connects and joins all things together. It lingers and flows like energy itself."
Space.Com: First Soundwaves Left Imprint On The Universe
"The early universe rang with the sound of countless cosmic bells, which filled the primordial darkness with ripples like the surface of a pond pounded by stones. The wave fronts later served as spawning grounds for galaxies."
Mind Body Green: 3 Steps To Harness The Power Of Om
In the ancient texts of the Upanishads, it says ‘In the beginning there was the word and the word was Om.’ There was a time when no thing existed. Only still silent space. Then out of the nothing came something. The first movement from the un-manifest to the manifest is known as the vibration of Om.
Religon Facts:What does Om mean
"Thus Om mystically embodies the essence of the entire universe. This meaning is further deepened by the Indian philosophical belief that God first created sound and the universe arose from it. As the most sacred sound, Om is the root of the universe and everything that exists and it continues to hold everything together."
